Lots of things I like about this cleaver. Sufficient mass for cutting bone? Check. Full tang? Check. Cutting edge appropriate angle for a cleaver? Check. Hammer surface for pounding meat or crushing garlic? Check. Forged, not cast steel blade? Check. One negative: wood handle could be better blended with the full tang for a smooth handle surface. I’d be willing to pay a few bucks for that. Even better would be a micarta handle!

This has been a godsend in cutting off the knuckle bone on turkey drumsticks for my dog. One good swing and it cuts clean through without causing the bone to splinter.

This thing is a beast!I haven't come across any meat and bones that it cant pulverize

I use this knife to cut the baby ribs into smaller size that can be used to make Chinese dishes. With this knife, I do not have to make my trip to Asian supermarket to buy those small size ribs any more.

This thing is an absolute unit. So far it has done great on frozen meat, going have to test the claims of bone chopping, but it feels more than up to the job. Construction has surprisingly good, and the edge was sharp enough for a chopper out of the box that I didn't have to touch it up.
