Couch is Back to Normal!

After 10 years of use, my couch cushions were saggy and smashed, making sitting on (more like "in") the couch uncomfortable and difficult. I was tempted to go out and purchase a new couch but saw that I could replace the foam in the seat bottoms myself. After researching the material, I found some uneven reviews of the foam, with some saying it smelled bad for a long time and others claiming it was not "high density" and subject to compression. I'm happy to say that I am glad I simply replaced the foam instead of purchasing a new couch. For a fraction of the price, my couch is not back to (or even better than) it was when new, with firm bottom pads that allow me to sit on the couch rather than to fall into it. There was no foul smell and the foam expanded from its tight packaging within a few hours. Few purchases in the past have made such an immediate--and significant--improvement to my everyday home enjoyment.

EASY TO WORK WITH

I purchased the 3 inch foam to make a pad for a bench recently purchased for the end of my bed. The bench was to correct a problem--tripping on the electric blanket cord at the end of the bed. As I've never worked with foam previously, I went online and found that the best way to cut it was with an electric knife. It worked like a charm. Purchased some quilted material and cut the top, bottom and sides for the bench cover. That was easy too until I decided to put a zipper into this soon to be "masterpiece". And that was easy also as you are working with straight pieces and it all went together just fine. It's in use now, looks great and wish I had a picture to send. So if anyone thinks this may be difficult, it is not. It was just a mater of measuring precisely and adding 1/2 inch for seams on the cover material. There is enough foam left for other projects and the next one will be a matching covered pad for a bedroom chair--with a zipper!.

Comfortable mattress in a camper trailer

I bought this to replace our old bunkhouse camper trailer as a mattress for one of the bunks. I purchased the 5" think pad. It was only 2" short on width compared to the original mattress, but I can live with that for the cost I paid! If I had gotten something else that was 2" wider, it would have doubled the cost and only half as think. I was able to sew up a cover for it pretty quick and easy. Thankfully, I didn't have to cut anything! My 9 year old loved it so much while camping that she ended up dragging it into the house after our camping trip and is sleeping on it, on the floor in her room. I will for sure be purchasing another one when its time to replace the top bunk!

Perfect Size & Comfortable, kids love it!!!

Worked great for the kids’ short dresser, I made this into a bedtop and cut the end of it to make a pillow. It looks great & works wonderfully for a guest kids bed or a reading area!!! Thank you very much the foam is great! I used the electric knife that I bought on Amazon to cut it!! It worked perfectly

Multi-purpose comfort

We bought the firm foam in the exact size we needed it. Then we bought a twin waterproof matress cover. Then we bought cute gray covers. All for our dogs. They love their outdoor bed my husband built and this foam topper was exactly what we needed to make this multi-purpose for dog bed and extra seating on our patio!

Very firm at a great price

Exactly as advertised, and the best price I found anywhere. If I had realized that it was going to be as firm as it says in the description I probably would have bought the 4 inch instead of the 5 inch, but still really happy with it

Perfect for stuffing my used couch’s cushions!

I bought a super cute used couch off Craigslist but it wasn’t that comfy. I considered getting a wood board from Lowes to put between the cushions and the bottom but I wasn’t sure that would solve it. I started searching Amazon for solutions and found this. I bought the thickest one. I worried that cutting it accurately would be tricky, but actually my crappy bread knife worked perfectly and easily to cut it to size. Stuffing it inside the cushions was a bit challenging but I did it and it looks and feels great now. Except I did also put corrugated cardboard that I got from my local Buy Nothing group between the cushions and the bottom as well, rather than buying something new and heavy from Lowe’s. It works well. I’m glad I didn’t spend a small fortune on a new couch and instead got a high quality one used and fixed it up cheaply and easily.

Saved me a ton refurbishing my Lloyd Flanders Porch Furniture

This foam was great and saved me a ton of money. I have some great old Lloyd Flanders porch furniture and replacement cushions cost a fortune. This stuff was the perfect width and easy to cut with a serrated bread knife. I just cut to length and stuffed in with the old flattened cushion. Turned out great. Will add a picture if I think of it when it’s daylight out.

Great as a chair cushion

I bought this for making a cushion for hard chairs for me to use while I'm pregnant. It's nice to have something to sit on when I end up sitting on bleachers, folding chairs, and what not. 2 inches is just right to not make it too bulky to pack but it provides enough cushion to sit on. I would highly recommend.

We need new couches but opted for these cushions

We need new couches, but opted for these replacement cushions instead. We couldn’t be more pleased with our purchase. We ordered the 40 ILD / Extra Firm, and that is exactly what we received. Our couches are now comfortable to sit on and we can feel the difference on our back and hips. I have lower back issues and my husband has sciatica so these are a welcomed change to our body. We still need new nice looking couches, but this will work for us meanwhile. We are very happy with our purchase and highly recommend these cushions.
