Fit the opening in my Generac generator.
I did have to trim off a bit of the bracket that secures it to the panel and CAREFULLY! bend the terminals UP at the rear due to the limited space inside the generator electrical housing but after that it fit perfectly, didn't have to trim the metal panel at all. You could also not use the bracket and instead drill two small holes and mount with hardware, but I suspect the hardware on the right side would also interfere with the fit. The hardware is NOT included with the new meter. It will be nice to not have to start the generator to read the hours usage for oil changes, etc as I had to do with the old digital model that it came with (which failed in about a year or so).

Nicely Made Small Hour Meter
This is a little hour meter that runs on DC current. They say it’s rated for from 8 to 80 volts, so those of us running standard 12V vehicles (or 24volt) will have no problem. Hookup is simple. There are posts for 2 x spade connections on the back. I have it wired into the console near the ignition key on my boat. This helps me keep track of hours on the engine so I know about service intervals. The meter comes with a rubber gasket and plastic frame. It works well and the price is pretty good.

Works good.
I installed this hour meter on a gasoline driven generator. It was simple and easy to install and it works good. This device will make oil changes and other servicing easier to track. I really appreciate the width of this mounting flange. Several of the gauges I've recently installed have had mounting flanges that were approximately 1/16 of an inch wide. This gauge completely covered the hole that I had to cut to mount it.
