Great long term replacement for shops to consider instead of litmus strips.

I picked this up for not a lot more money than a bottle of conventional brake contamination strips. It's easy to read, easy to use, and works as well (Or better) than the older paper strip tests I've been using here at the shop for over 20 years. It seems to be a well built tool, and so far after a few weeks in the shop, the other techs seem to like it as well. Over all it's a good deal!

Fantastic tool for the price!

I purchased this product to use for the automotive program I teach. It is very easy to use, and seems spot on accurate when compared to brake fluid test straps. I've tested about 10 different cars, and each time I test an older vehicle that hasn't been maintained properly, the tester shows the same results versus newer cars with fresh fluid show very low moisture content. This too would be fantastic for selling fluid services.

Nice tool for the money

I've had this tester for about a week now and have tested about 15 vehicles with it comparing it to my other typical methods. This tester was found to be accurate in my testing and works as advertised. Very easy to use the only thing you'll need is three AAA batteries to get going out of the box. Hold down the button to turn it on and then get testing. If you hit the button while on it will change between different brake fluid types, hold the button for a short time to turn on the LED and hold longer to turn off. Overall great tester for the money.

Great little brake fluid tester for dot 3 dot 4 dot 5.1 brake fluid.

This is a great little brake fluid tester. It has a build-in light and works on most brake fluid types. I like the flexible tip for the tester as many vehicles have the brake fluid reservoir right against the firewall and out of reach. I've used old testers like this but had to have a different test for each type of brake fluid which was very ineffective. This test solves that issue and priced very well for the features and accuracy.

Brake Fluid Tester

For those that don't know.. Brake fluid is hygroscopic and wicks (absorbs) moisture. Not good for brake systems at all. I've used other brake fluid testers before but the great thing about this one is...I can access the fluid better in many different types of reservoirs as some vehicles have them tucked under the windshield cowl making it difficult to access with a straight tester. Have had situations where the only way to test was to siphon and test from a separate container. So far not with this one as it can easily bend to shape and drop into place.. very easy to use.

This brake fluid tester is extremely useful for a DIY mechanic or someone working in a shop. This tool as well constructed and should last quite a while. I was very impressed by how fast it produces a result. All I did was turn on the tool and dip it in the master cylinder to obtain the readout. The package includes a chart that explains what the lights mean.

Easy to use

So I purchased this one because I wanted to test the condition of my brake fluid and it was so simple. Open the box and insert the product on the brake fluid and you'll get super quick results. I highly recommend this one. The only down side is that the 2 AAA are not included.

Great price for quality and speed.

Picked up this tool as a referral. It is a very simply and easy tool to use to see if brake fluid may have contamination and may need a flush. Huge fan of the quick selection of being able to test DOT 3, DOT 4 and DOT 5.1. Quality of the tool with low price for this piece of equipment is 100% worth the purchase. I would highly recommend it for shop techs trying to quickly determine if there may be a problem with the fluid.
