I bought this Marshmallow Root Powder essentially to help my Labrador Retriever with his aspirational pneumonia. My research said that the mucilaginous properties of marshmallow extract reduces the production of phlegm and mucus in the lungs while acting as an expectorant to help the respiratory system loosen any blockages and expel them. It also has antibacterial properties that limit the spread and growth of bacteria in the mouth, throat, stomach, and digestive system. Since he's an older dog, I wanted to do whatever I could to help him out naturally in conjunction with the heavy duty antibiotics and anti-inflammatory he was on. I was able to put it into his food and he liked it. It has a little bit of a sweet taste. Also, it's great for the skin if you have any type of eczema or psoriasis because it helps to reduce systemic inflammation that may be responsible for the development of skin disorders. It also helps with gastric reflux, helps with pain (headaches, sore throat), has mild diuretic properties, helps reduce the production of LDL Cholesterol and promotes the production of HDL Cholesterol. All in all, this sounds like a product I'm going to be incorporating into my repertoire of healthy eating. My dog survived his bout of aspirational pneumonia and is doing very well now.

Tangle Free !

I didn’t use this to make marshmallows so I can’t attest to the taste. I made a detangler and hair conditioner out of it. It is amazing for tangles. Will definitely purchase again.

Good quality

This is my first time purchasing marshmallow root powder so I have nothing to compare this with. However, it seems to help a lot with healing leaky gut and with respiratory infections.
