Awesome.
Got home early from work today. I'm sitting on porch with a cold one. UPS pulls up with my new tools. They look and feel great. Got into my truck to go to store and it was a slow crank. Put brand new Dewalt set in my truck, then off to the local auto parts store. They checked battery and it was time to replace. Bought new battery and switched it out with my brand new Dewalt Mechanics took set in about 3 minutes. This set is awesome. Everything was in its place in the very sturdy case. Awsome.

First of all, thanks DeWalt/Amazon for moving the impact drivers and power drills out of this grouping on Amazon so that it is not as confusing. All of the reviews now that mention the drills, however, are now not worth anything so the reviews are not off. Oh well. This DeWalt tool set seems to be well built, with quality pieces, unlike the Allen Wrench socket set that I had previously whose case fell apart and is currently being held together with duct tape. CONS: -The toolset is pretty heavy, but a general rule of thumb is that quality and weight usually run harmoniously with each-other, so this is not a big deal. -It does not have the attachment adapter for a drill or impact driver for the largest sockets, but it does come with an adaptor for the smaller two sizes. -They are not impact rated, but I think that they will hold up for a battery-powered impact driver (I use a Greenworks 24V impact driver, I will include a link for my review of this product from Amazon.) PROS: -It has a very good, solid, well-built case that should last a lot longer than our Allen Wrench socket set, whose case fell apart. The case is made with a premium composite plastic material that looks and feels durable. -The hinges and latches are well made and should last a long time. -All of the tools are made professionally and nothing seems like it was poorly engineered. -All of the sockets, wrenches, and ratchets are well built. -lifetime guarantee with free replacement which is a perk. Time will tell and I will update my review if something goes wrong, but these products work very well and I am not ashamed to have them in my toolbox. The Pros outweighted the Cons and the only way that I would not recommend this would be if you work repeatedly with high-powered air-powered impact guns. I would highly recommend this toolset to anyone who needs a solid set of wrenches and sockets for their garage or shop. Please like my review if it was helpful. Thanks! link from Amazon for 24V Greenworks Impact Driver which I use and think is a great bargain: https://smile.amazon.com/gp/review/R3E2K3RMA7NTSD?ref_=glimp_1rv_cl

Quality tool set, you get your moneys worth!
Wanted to wait 1 Year after buying this set of tools that replaced my old Craftsman set I had that’s was 30 plus years old, I am a retired HVAC mechanic who now tinkers on my and Wife and Girlfriend car and I love these set of tools that have held up through the punishment I’ve put them through. If you like quality tools, this is the set you want. When they arrived I picked up the package and instantly knew they were quality tools $166 for 247 piece tool set come on you can’t beat that, and the case that they come in is rugged to.

Simply the best Mechanics Tool set available for $100. Buy 'em now!
I bought a new project car (BMW E30) and decided to treat myself to a new set of tools and hopefully the last set I'll ever need to buy. DeWalt has a reputation for making long lasting hand tools and back it up with the lifetime guarantee. I can't imagine ever needing to replace these tools but it's reassuring to know I'm covered. The spanners offset head design is great with tight tolerances - This reduces chances of rounding off bolts and makes them narrow enough for those hard to get to places. The shafts have a subtle ergonomic shape along the length that prevents slippage. It looks dead straight but has very slight ridges for your fingers. You wouldn't pick it in the photos but the end result is that they feel good in your hands during use. You'll understand when you hold them. The engraving on the tools is easy to read and the etching gives good tactile response. Only one of my spanners had a small divot out of it's head (see picture) and probably shouldn't have slipped through quality control. I'll contact DeWalt to see about replacing it. Otherwise the chrome finish is exceptional. I have put a number of the sockets to use already and they performed well. The ratchets have a nice firm 'click' during operation. The width of the handles is just right too, they feel solid & durable. The case is laid out well and holds all the pieces firmly in place - Mine turned up with just one set of Alan keys loose after international shipping. The buckles are metal and the case feels like it could stand up to a lot of punishment. To sum it up - This tool set is filled with just about everything the home mechanic could need without a bunch of unnecessary filler items. A great selection of useful empirical & metric pieces in a quality case. You'd be hard pressed to find a better set for the money. You'd really need to step up to Snap-On (or equivalent $) for a better tool. These are fraction of the price and amazing value for the quality. FYI - the case does not come with the colour coded numbering. I added that with a couple of paint pens, it improves visibility at a glance and gave my OCD something to do for a couple of hours.

The case is really good. Heavy duty
The case is really good. Heavy duty, not cheap. One review They complained about the sockets falling out...i tested that because that's a big issue for me if that was the case. I carried the case like normal and even shook it up and down and side to side...opened the case and all the sockets were right where they should be. There is a foam like pad in the case that keeps everything tight...if that were not there I could see the sockets moving out of place. Especially if you were to drop it. All the sockets look good and made heavy duty...the wrenches look great as well. They sound heavy duty and feel heavy duty. Between this and the 204pc set...they are the same thing...this 205pc set is organized differently but it's over all the same product. So go read the reviews for the 204 piece set and you can get a very good idea of how good this set will be.

Good Quantity, Good Quality
I feel like this was a good purchase. When I bought my set, the price was slightly lower (floating around $50) but it's still a good buy. It comes with a wide variety of sockets sizes you'd find most commonly for light repairs or disassembly/reassembly. While the sockets aren't rated for insane torque numbers, a regular Drill Driver or lower end Impact will be alright; but it's advised you go easier on the smaller sockets. All of the pieces included are very high quality, and for a name brand it's definitely a good set to have. If you're running a full time shop it's probably not the best choice for you, but if you're doing hobby work or light professional work they should be more than adequate.

very good
I expect high quality from Dewalt and they did not dissapoint. The box is very well made, sockets snap into place and don't move. I received all of the expected sockets, easy to read and already have put them to work. Good set.

THE Best Man Gift!
Preeminent Man Gift! Outstanding value for a complete set. Items are included here that other sets ignore: Spark plug sockets (2!), deep sockets, multi-drive tool and bits (replaces screwdrivers!). This set also includes both 3/8 and 1/4 drive sockets, in both metric and SAE, with an adapter. If you have no idea what this means, just know that the person who gets this set doesn’t need to go back out and buy extra parts and accessories to get nearly every job done. Craftsman tools had been my brand until they moved production to mainland China and quality went down the toilet. DeWalt wins.
